PDAL 2.5.5-foss-2022a

PDAL is Point Data Abstraction Library. It is a C/C++ open source library and applications for translating and processing point cloud data. It is not limited to LiDAR data, although the focus and impetus for many of the tools in the library have their origins in LiDAR.

Architectures

The listed architectures consist of two part: OS-CPU. The OS used is represented by EL and there are several different processor (CPU) types available on BlueBEAR. More information about the processor types on BlueBEAR is available on the BlueBEAR Job Submission page.

PDAL Plugin Support

PDAL has been installed with the following plugin support:
  • Reading from/Writing to E57 format files
  • Reading from files in HDF5 format
  • Reading data stored in ESRI I3S format
  • Icebridge
  • OpenSceneGraph
  • LZMA compression/decompression

PDAL Test Data

The PDAL test data has been stored in the PDAL install directory and is defined with the environment variable $PDAL_TEST_DATA
