Gurobi

The Gurobi Optimizer is a state-of-the-art solver for mathematical programming. The solvers in the Gurobi Optimizer were designed from the ground up to exploit modern architectures and multi-core processors, using the most advanced implementations of the latest algorithms.

Requesting a Gurobi License

To request a personal license for Gurobi

1. Register for an account on https://www.gurobi.com/
2. Login in to the User Portal
3. Naviagte 'Licenses' -> 'Request' -> 'WLS Academic'
4. Complete the form to request the license
5. Open this license in the License Manager
6. Download
7. Put the license file, naming it gurobi.lic, in your BlueBEAR home directory

Then in your jobs add export GRB_LICENSE_FILE=~/gurobi.lic.

Available Versions

These versions of Gurobi are available on the BEAR systems (BlueBEAR and BEAR Cloud VMs). These will be retained in accordance with our Applications Support and Retention Policy.
