FreeSurferFreeSurfer is a set of tools for analysis and visualization of structural and functional brain imaging data. FreeSurfer contains a fully automatic structural imaging stream for processing cross sectional and longitudinal data.
FreeSurfer licenses are free, but they use registrations to keep rough statistics on the number of users, which they can use in grants and presentations as a demonstration of their contribution to the neuroimaging community.

These versions of FreeSurfer are available on the BEAR systems (BlueBEAR, BEARCloud VMs, and CaStLeS VMs). These will be retained in accordance with our Applications Support and Retention Policy.
